Paul Pogba has sung the praises of France team-mate Kylian Mbappe after his two goals against Argentina, claiming that Mbappe has more talent.
Mbappe became the first teenager to score twice in a World Cup match since Pele in 1958.
On the day that Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo both exited the tournament, Mbappe stepped up.
Speaking after the game, Pogba – who was also magnificent – rejected comparisons between himself and Mbappe.
“Kylian has much more talent than I have,” Pogba said to Goal.
“Do you see what he is doing at his age? No, I never had his talent.
“He has so much speed…though he’s a forward, he can’t be compared with me.”
Reports in France recently suggested that Manchester United are lining up a bid of £76m plus Anthony Martial to try and land Mbappe this summer.
The France forward joined PSG on an initial loan deal last summer and was poised to complete a permanent €176million move from this summer, but Le10 Sport believes the Ligue 1 giants will still be forced to pull the plug on the deal due to the Financial Fair Play stipulations hanging round their neck.
