There wasn't even a place on the bench for Alexis Sanchez this weekend.
Upon Manchester United's trip to West Ham on Saturday, Jose Mourinho took the decision to leave the Chilean winger out of his match-day squad after a wretched start to the new campaign.
The United boss played an experimental starting XI at the London Stadium with Anthony Martial joining the attack and Scott McTominay surprisingly slotting into the defence.
And when asked about the decision to leave out Sanchez, Mourinho explained after the match: “For many months, people ask for [Anthony] Martial, Martial, Martial.
"It was time for me to agree that Sanchez wasn’t playing well and it was time to give him a chance."
SANCHEZ DROPPED FOR WEST HAM LOSS
That was despite the fact Sanchez still travelled with the entire squad and was photographed with the rest of team as they travelled between Manchester and London by train.
He watched from his position behind the dug-out as United's situation went from bad to worse, losing 3-1 virtue of strikes from Felipe Anderson, Marko Arnautovic and a Victor Lindelof own goal.
The result saw the Red Devils plunge to tenth in the Premier League standings and rumours are circling that Mourinho could lose his job to Zinedine Zidane.
SANCHEZ'S BEHAVIOUR AT WEST HAM GAME
However, the situation with Sanchez isn't much better either and a report by the Mirror has revealed worrying details about his behaviour on Saturday.
It's been revealed that Sanchez was 'furious' with the decision to be completely dropped and there are even suggestions that he regrets moving to Old Trafford in the first place.
The report details: "Sanchez was stunned by his exclusion on Saturday having travelled to London with the squad and sulked his way through the game as he sat behind the United dug-out.
"Chile star Sanchez made it clear to everyone behind the scenes during the game how angry and upset he was at the latest blow to his faltering United career.
"Sanchez, 29, had a long chat with former Arsenal team mate Lucas Perez, now at West Ham, in the tunnel and there is a feeling he regrets his move to Old Trafford in January."
Chatting with one of his former Arsenal pals in the tunnel could have been entirely innocent, but was bound to raise questions amid rumours he regrets leaving the Emirates.
Nevertheless, you have to imagine that any potential regret lies with fact Sanchez didn't move to Manchester City who are enjoying a far less turbulent season.
The season is still young, though, and there's plenty of time for United and Sanchez to turn things around before things become irremediable.
It's just a question of whether the negative atmosphere at Old Trafford necessitates change before any further poor results do. Watch this space.
