Ronaldo clinched his fifth ever ballon d’Or putting him on level with Messi. The Portuguese star has had another superb year after also clinching his fourth ever Champions League title.
It was the star’s third Champions League title with Real Madrid, having also won the title with Manchester United in 2008 during a famous final with Chelsea.
The star not only pipped Messi to tonight’s ballon d’Or but he also beat the Barca man to this year’s La Liga title.
