Manchester United and Man City have continued their pursuit of French wonderkid Lucien Agoumé, according to reports in his homeland.

Previously dubbed the ‘new Paul Pogba’ by Italian media, the 17-year-old is starring in Ligue 2 already having made seven starts since his debut back in October at just 16.

Struggling against relegation, Sochaux have turned to the youngster as they try to get out of trouble near the bottom of the table.

The midfielder is contracted at his current club until the summer of 2020 so with a year to go on his contract he’s is in a prime position to be picked up.

Everton and Barcelona are also among the teams interested in Agoumé but all four sides face a battle with the club being forced to open a special area for scouts who are keen on the players.

According to L’Equipe, 23 clubs sent officials to watch him in Sochaux’s 4-0 defeat to Nancy with Monaco, Nice, Saint-Etienne, and Marseille among the French clubs interested.

Borussia Dortmund and Juventus are also believed to have taken a look at the wonderkid.
